Estonia.

Estonia.
A full review of our spent time here.
Estonia surprisingly exceeded my expectations. Tallinn is a small city with a lot to experience. There were elements I could compare to some of my favorite spots back home the States and my real home in Canada.
This was the second time I’ve traveled abroad with Daniel on a job. First time was to Rome in 2016 when he was working on John Wick 2. Zola was only 6 months old. She crawled for the first time in Rome.
But anyways, here are a few of my favorite things about Estonia.
Old Town
Old town had some of the cutest and most colorful buildings. So much detail in the architecture. One door could have been painted like 8 different colors. Small cobblestone streets. Local restaurants. People even dressed up in costume and themed to the restaurant. Many churches and castles. Looked like “Far Far Away” from Shrek 2. One great local restaurant in Old Town was called Lieb and it was tucked away right up against a castle wall. So pretty with a large garden. Only complaint is because of the cobblestone streets some places were difficult to navigate with a stroller but aside from that no complaints
Telliskivi Loomelinnak or “Creative City”
Artsy, hipster area. Graffiti covered walls, small local artisan shops. I got cute organic kids clothes from a little local shop called Dadamora. Great food. Great drinks. The kids loved this ice cream shop called La Muu. That had new flavors everyday. We loved this restaurant called F-Hoone with tapas style food. And a rosebud cocktail with gin with dried mini rosebuds floating on the top. Right next to the restaurant was a little park and the kids could play there while we were waiting to our food. Comparable to Gastown in Vancouver, or Inman Park in Atlanta. Walkable area and also a very bike friendly city too.
Pirita Beach
Only 10 min Uber out of the city to sandy beaches. Views of cruise ships sailing by and miles of the Baltic Sea to dip into. Also a safe place for the kids to play since you had to walk out very far for the ocean to even go past your hips. It looks just like Third beach in Vancouver. Where you can relax and watch cruise ships or barges sail in and out of the port.
This was Zola’s 5th country she’s visited. I believe. (US, Canada, Italy, Turks and Caicos) I can’t think of any other ones right now. And Kingston’s 3rd country.
Overall we enjoyed our time in Estonia, aside from the terrible jet lag. It is supposed to be one of the newest “up and coming” tourist spots in Northern Europe and I can see why! Next big cities close by are Helsinki and Stockholm. Both are even reachable my ferry.
Now off to the Amalfi Coast!
Ciao Estonia.
Buongiorno Italy!
